'As a local boy, it seemed almost inevitable to
return to the area, and having admired The Manor House from afar
for many years, the opportunity to be General Manager of one of the
most prestigious country house hotels in the country is
amazing.
It seems as though I have come a long way from my
first job as a waiter in a well known Chippenham hotel!'
Work or Play?
"I cannot really call this work, it simply is a pleasure and
with a sense of pride that each morning I draw up to either the
main gates of the Hotel and sweep down the drive or indeed arriving
at the Golf Club seeing some of our Members and visitors warming up
for a great game of golf. The estate is nestled in 365 acres which
provides so much peace in a stunning area of outstanding natural
beauty."

"The various forms of wildlife and the meandering Bybrook
River which runs through the estate is extremely tranquil but at
the same time full of life. I am also very proud of the team
of people here, you will not find any management charts here, just
a family of people all enjoying their work and focused on giving
our Guests & Members the service they want. All in all we have
