Christmas Eve - a sense of occasion… an air of expectation…

Friday 24^th December

2.00pm – 4.00pm: Arrive at your leisure and enjoy a welcoming glass of mulled wine and a decadent afternoon tea to ease you into the celebrations

6.00pm: Immerse yourself in the festive spirit with carols at the Market Cross just a short walk down the drive in the village

7:30pm – 8.00pm: Meet fellow guests over champagne and canapés

8.00pm: Be seated for a stunning four-course gourmet dinner in the Bybrook with the fabulously talented jazz band. Our expert sommelier will be on hand to help choose wines to complement each dish. Captain's Table: a great opportunity to get to know fellow guests seated at your table. Dress code: Black-tie

11pm: Meet in the lobby to stroll over to the church for Christmas Eve Service - delicious hot chocolate and mince pies will be waiting for you on your return, before you tiptoe off to bed to dream of what Santa might bring you!

Christmas Day… a great tradition refined in luxury

Saturday 25^th December

8.00am - 10.00am: After a contented night’s sleep, awake on Christmas morning, rip open presents, indulge in a hearty country house breakfast served in the Bybrook and indulge in the thought of a Christmas Day when you don’t have to lift a finger.

During the day: Until the main event, there’s plenty of time to relax… or perhaps you’d like a few holes of golf or a walk to work up an appetite.

12:45pm: Popping corks, laughter and fizzy full glasses welcome you to the Christmas Champagne Reception.

1.15pm – 3.00pm: Traditional Christmas lunch will be served in the Bybrook - exquisite dishes and impeccable service are the highlight of the day accompanied by the gentle tones of our in-house harpist

3.00pm: The time-honoured seasonal custom of the Queen’s speech – or perhaps a stroll in the grounds, a game of chess, or even a sneaky snooze in front of the fire!

8.00pm: A stylishly informal buffet will be served in the Bybrook Restaurant - and for some relaxed entertainment and a dash of competition we’ll test your wits with The Manor House Christmas Quiz.

Boxing Day… indoors or out, be as active as you please

Sunday 26^th December

8.00am – 10.00am: Start the day with a nourishing breakfast served in the Bybrook… or have it delivered to your room perhaps!

During the day: Traditionally a time for working off excesses but how will you spend your day… explore the grounds, play golf, amble through the village, try your hand at Clay Pigeon shooting or Archery or take in a matinee performance of Aladdin at the Bath Theatre Royal. Alternatively, we have plenty of games to play, films to watch and lots of comfy sofas to curl up in with a good book and a glass of something warming and indulgent… it’s your house, feel free to make yourself at home!

12.00pm – 2.00pm: Enjoy a choice of either the à la carte lunch in The Bybrook or alternatively work up a bit of an appetite with a leisurely amble through the village up to The Woodbury Restaurant at our golf club for a relaxed Jazz buffet lunch.

7:30pm: The evening begins with a splendid champagne reception before being seated for a stunning five-course dinner with wines to accompany each course, with entertainment extending throughout the evening. Dress Code: Black Tie.
